Financial assistance for eligible families requiring child care for children. City enters into Service Agreements to provide subsidized child care with child care centres, home child care agencies, before and after school programs and summer camps.

Depending on circumstances, applicants may be put on existing waiting list. Wait times will vary according to a family's priority for service and the available funding.

This group is not wait listed:

Eligible families with a child who requires special needs resources.

Eligible families in high-risk situations and young parents aged 16 to 25 years.

Age 12 years and younger; Families who are both financially eligible, and either working/attending school full-time/part-time or having an active participation agreement with Ontario Works or a referral has been made by a professional
